Customs Declaration App Available

Mobile Passport Control is now available for Americans and Canadians who are arriving into the U.S. at certain airports.
Under the program, passengers provide declarations information via the Mobile Passport app on a smartphone or tablet, rather than on paper.
Individuals can download the app from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store. The app is free to use and does not collect any new information from travelers, said the U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
DFW is the seventh airport at which CBP offers Mobile Passport Control. The others are Atlanta, Chicago O’Hare, Miami, San Francisco, Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood and Seattle. The program will be expanded to 20 airports by the end of the year, the agency said.
Once users download the Mobile Passport app, they must create a profile with their passport information. Then on each trip they submit the relevant information to receive an electronic receipt. They can then clear customs by taking their passport and digital receipt to an agent.
